Remember that 2 hour line we were in yesterday for rise of the resistance at Disneyland? Well the ride broke down after waiting for about 80 minutes. We waited an additional 40 minutes hoping it would reopen but didn’t. So we left. 15 minutes later it reopened so we should have just waited more. Sadness. What a gamble.
Apparently the ride breaks down often because of how complicated it is and objects falling off people or them throwing it accidentally. What a shame.
We enjoyed the classic rides instead opting for the thrill of space mountain, the calmness of pirates of the Caribbean, and of course the rockiness that is Indiana Jones. The night ended with world of color which had some fun additions including Moana and of course Marvel towards the end.
But we obviously had to go back to the rise of the resistance again prior. At roughly the same point in line the ride broke down yet again. We opted to wait and luckily it was fixed within 10 minutes. It was a pretty cool ride and I could imagine why a Star Wars fan would like it a lot and pay 25 dollars to cut the line. Still, after waiting for 3+ hours in line I wouldn’t say it lived up to the hype. I still recommend it to anyone who hasn’t gone though, and Hope Disney’s imagineering team will create fun immersive experiences on future rides.
