Went to Seafood Cove #2 for some Dimsum with Katherine and her family. I guess they’re technically my family now though.

The food itself was just okay, but nothing to line up for 1-2 hours for (It’s no Phil’s BBQ, that’s for sure). In the end, I much prefer Din Tai Fung since the food is simpler and much more delicious.

By far the best dish out of the entire menu was the peking duck. The presentation of the Peking Duck is impressive. The skin is served separately, along with steamed pancakes, scallions, and a sweet hoisin sauce.

To enjoy the Peking Duck properly, you take a pancake and place a piece of crispy skin on it. Next, you add some sliced scallions and cucumber, and top it off with a generous dollop of hoisin sauce. Then, you wrap it all up into a little package, and take a big bite. The combination of flavors and textures is truly delightful. It’s like eating a taco in a way with an extra soft shell.

In the end, it will never be my choice to eat dim sum at Seafood Cove #2, but I will go out if peer pressured in the future.
