Some say a wedding is the ultimate indicator of someone’s love and dedication to another person. Having just attended a wedding this past weekend, I would agree that it is a significant way to showcase your affection for someone else. Congrats to Julia Peng, who found the love of her life while in law school. It was much deserved, and she deserves permanent happiness for the rest of her days.

It’s always to fun to see the life story of a couple and to see how their journey progressed. A wedding is a very traditional function where people can showcase their love to the rest of the world. I particularly enjoyed the speeches presented by the parents.

A wedding is a signifier with vows that love will last forever. And yet, does it really last forever? Is the sanctity of marriage ruined by the fact that half of all marriages end in divorce? Perhaps.

I think my love is permanent, and the best way we figured out how to showcase that love was to get none other than matching tattoos. That’s a little taboo, and there’s so many horror stories of couples that break up after getting their matching tattoos. And yet, we took that risk.

Here’s to what will be our permanent scars that will showcase our forever love for one another, much more than a wedding ever will.

It didn’t really hurt at all.

I got a “K” for Katherine. She got a sunflower with a “J” as a leaf for John. Here’s hoping these scars will follow us into old age. We are indefinitely now cuffed for life. Now that I found out tattoos don’t really hurt, I will perhaps add a Charmander on the right side in the future to match my left sided arm.

  1. I love it! Same here. Got a matching tattoo with my wife and I love looking at it every day knowing we are committed to each other, so much we’re joined by permanent ink. Congrats!
