Every single time me and Karl meet up, somehow we always get into the exact same conversation which happens to revolve around the concept of “The One”.
Depending on what phase or emotional state we happen to be in, we either believe in the concept of “the one” or not. For those unfamiliar with the concept, it’s the idea that there is one person destined to be with you romantically for the rest of your life – i.e. your soul mate. At this present stage in his life Karl happens to believe in the idea of “the one”, where I am totally disillusioned and do not believe in it.
However, if she were to come along at some point within the next couple of years, I wouldn’t be opposed to the idea of it.
That being said, I’m glad we are still able to catch up, and I wish Karl the best of luck in securing a job in Orange County so we can continue to chill, party, and go to Phil’s BBQ whenever we want.
