In the story the necklace, the main character borrows a necklace, loses it, and then spends the entire rest of her life paying for its replacement.
Sometimes, as I’m going to work I only think about the future debts I will incur as I continue to grow in height and stature. When I buy my new car, new wife, new house, and new dog, I only imagine how expensive it’ll all be.
I guess that’s why I suffer through professional development. Today was interesting. Lots of inspirational videos from Oprah, the failed network that will probably run for president in a few years.
Lunch was nice though. For the first pot luck in a while I actually brought food as opposed to freeloading, in the form of chips. Although, nobody really thanked me, so I’m thinking if I never bring food again to a potluck nobody will really ever notice. I will test this theory throughout the year and post the research findings here.
Anyway, I’m slightly planned for next week, except not really though. Not looking forward to it. One of my students visited me, claiming that she is leaving our school. We will see about that.
