Day 11: A Sound of Thunder

The “Butterfly Effect”, as prevalent in most time travel stories such as a “Sound of Thunder” postulates that if you change something in the past, it will ultimately shift the future, creating equally new and unforeseen consequences.

Well well well. It appears that my past and my present has collided to allow me to wonderfully come back to Rise Kohyang Middle School. With the summer officially over, it was time for the first official day of professional development at Griffith Park’s ironically named “Friendship Auditorium”.

It was nice seeing some faces again, as much as I was super tired from the lack of sleep the previous night. That being said, they gave us some calm breathing exercises that we can hopefully use to create a better life for ourselves. I’m more than positive that these breathing exercises will forever change the shape of the future and ensure we have a successful year.

For lunch we had BOTH The Habit Burger and Kogi’s Tacos. It was a combination in heaven.

After lunch we had a Circle/Council. It was by far the best Circle we have ever had this year. I learned so much about our mission and vision and can only hope to apply it next year. Maybe.

After work I went back to Planet Fitness for some free pizza and then officially signed my lease. Hopefully this change in housing will forever shift my future this year, for the better!
