If you look directly in the picture below, you can see that my head is definitely an animal (big forehead). One of my students requested a farewell shot and we took a polaroid appropriately.
My head is an animal mostly from the antics of the week, which of course included some Field Day drama… and a whole day of Student Led Conferences. It’s good practice for students to develop presentation skills but at the same time it’s so poorly implemented that I have little to no faith that it’s actually helping the kids at all.
Oh well. I just work there. Hopefully not forever though. I took down all my posters today in preparation for the incoming 6th graders tomorrow as we practice the new bell schedule.
After work I went a free movie screening called “Crown Heights”. It was about a wrongfully committed black man and it was… pretty decent (but not great). It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2017 apparently. shrug.
