Day 8: THE ULTIMATE LOVE CONFESSION

Today I had the courage to go to the Japanese American National Museum for a year of the rooster celebration. In the process I got to catch up with a friend from college I haven’t seen since…. college.

Anyway, we did a variety of different activities which included: a tour of the museum, which included a life-sized reservation camp, free lucky soba noodles, a candy sculpting demonstration of a rooster, an onigri (riceball) making workshop which turned out gross, and a Mochitsuki Demonstration which was kind of lame, but also fun. We ate some ramen for lunch in honor of the Japanese, but it wasn’t nearly as good as Shen Sen Gumi. We also had Mochi ice cream in Little Tokyo which was delicious. I ate four while everybody else only ate one, making myself ultimately look like a fatass.

You can believe I made this garbage, because it looks like garbage.

I got my fortune, which is either super accurate or super incorrect.

My favorite part of the exhibits was of course, the ones where random people wrote about a time when they demonstrated COURAGE. It’s amazing just to see small glimpses of the uniqueness of each individual in their short anecdotes.

I love this next one. Thank you Skarlet Barba

This one is most definitely my favorite though, and will always be. 12.02.16 must be a special date for somebody.

The night ended with a gym session, and a Skype session to close out the day’s activities.
