It’s now September, and with it comes a plethora of new memories and moments that will be forever ingrained in the heart of this blog.

My last week of camp went well, and I will be quite sad that I (most likely) will not be able to go back next summer since I am FOR SURE going to Europe.
My reluctance and hesitation to go back to Rise Kohyang Middle School stemmed from the workload and the stress that came with managing groups of teenage-aged children. Needless to say however, this year has been a hell of a lot better! My management has gotten stronger, I only have one prep, and I have planned out the entire quarter (slaving most of my weekends away). Even though I’m much stricter in the classroom though I managed to not lose a sense of who I am – since I’m still telling really bad jokes, and trying to manage a straight stern face while doing so. TEACHER STARE. I reconciled some bad blood last year as well which makes it easier to come to work without having any of that lingering drama stay with me.
The stress is starting to pick up again as I have to write some more meaningless essays for my Master’s Program which I continued this week. My commuting days will be over though after I officially move in TODAY to Los Angeles! That means I will no longer need to stay excessively late at work to avoid traffic (even though I will by choice do so on certain days). Tuesdays I will do Pokemon Club with some students so we can WATCH pokemon, PLAY pokemon, and LIVE pokemon. On a more serious note Thursdays will be devoted to the Builder’s Club I’m starting up so that I can simultaneously do community service while instilling the values of leadership in students so that they can make a positive change in the world they live in. My whole theme of history this year is to teach it so that when students can grow up, they can be morally virtuous citizens who want to push the country and the world in the right direction permanently.
