Day 44: Thinking Out Loud / I’m Not The Only One

I went to a free breakfast buffet at the Alliante Casino today provided by Cram Middle School. At some point during the buffet I went to talk to some rather aged women who asked me if I could teach for another 30 years. I pondered that same question myself THINKING OUT LOUD to them about it. Then we had some rather unnecessary “cultural diversity” training. I’m sure I was NOT THE ONLY ONE who thought it was useless. (see what I did there?)

I then had dinner with a friend at the legendary Lotus of Siam, the best Thai restaurant in Las Vegas! Some Pad Thai was consumed.

And then delicious ice cream was consumed at Arts of Flavors, a local Gelato destination downtown. IMG_0113

Highlighting my thoughts out loud on this blog, I’m not the only one that is ignoring Valentine’s Day tomorrow. Most years I would probably be sad about it, but this year I’m actually quite apathetic, and not sure how to feel. This song mashup kind of illustrates the start and end of a relationship, using Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” as a positive and Sam Smith’s “I’m Not The Only One” as a negative. All relationships can start off on a high note, but it’s maintaining that consistency that will measure the true test of whether that person is the right person. I will be cautiously optimistic in the future.

You and me, we made a vow
For better or for worse
I can’t believe you let me down
But the proof’s in a way it hurts
