In what can be categorically summarized as a rather somber two-month period, there was an upside.
I got into a car accident on December 1st. I’m not really sure what happened but I spaced out for literally a second and ran a red light t-boning a car. I was a little bit in shock, lost in thought, or simply just out of it due to the events of the previous month. Regardless, I learned my lesson to drive extra careful from now on to avoid being that “jerk” on the road again. After a week of back-and-forth communications with the insurance company they eventually appraised it and decided it was a total loss.
The only solution? Buy a new car. And let’s just say…. I couldn’t be more than happy! This might mean I need to commit to my job for longer than a year, or figure out a way to make sure I make the monthly payments on time, but with 0.0% APR and free 5 year-roadside assistance I had to take the offer. It’s a beauty! A metallic gray Ford Fiesta, 2015! GREAT GAS MILEAGE.
