Trustworthiness is a moral characteristic to be gained when people confide in you personal and private pieces of information. It is also relevant when people see you capable enough of doing a certain task that they trust you to fulfill it to your maximum potential.
I was able to gain the trust of my siblings and niece during my trip/vacation to Oregon this past week.
I didn’t actually do much to earn their trust, but due to the fact that I was FAMILY made it all the difference.
They trusted/confided in me a variety of ways, which included:
1) Living and staying in their living room
2) Taking care of my niece when they were at work (or vice versa)
3) Cooking for them a high-sodium meal in the form of fried rice
4) Accompanying and leading on a hiking trip
5) Walking to various places without clearly getting injured
6) Surviving long car & airplane rides
7) Keeping the living room and living area clean to a certain extent
8) Have deep conversations about the future, i.e. marriage & moving back to California
In the end I really didn’t do anything “new” to gain trustworthiness, and reverted back to the same old same old. BUT I have a legitimate excuse in that I was on vacation :). I give myself a C for the week.
