My Favorite Boardgames, EVER.

1. Loaded Questions.

Why? Because it’s an amazing game to use to get to know strangers with. You’re allowed to be inappropriate. It’s not necessarily about winning, but writing the funniest (i.e. sometimes dirtiest) answers. I place regular Loaded questions above Adult loaded questions, although they would fall in the same general category of #1.

2. Bang.

Why? Endless combinations of possibilities. I remember vaguely staying up till 4 am for a week playing games sophomore year for two entire weeks. It was a blast to “Bang” people.

3. Settlers of Catan.

Why? It’s a puzzle. It’s challenging, but not to the point where it angers you when you lose (Risk). Also, I won the first few times I played.

4. Monopoly.

Why? Tradition. Playing with my siblings when I was younger, playing in college when I got older. Though the “house rules” change depending on who I’m playing with, the same amount of fun (and time wasted) is achieved.

5. Dominion

A pretty complicated deck-building game, but very fun due to the lack of variables involved. Truly every game you play is different depending on the combinations of cards being used.

6. Uno.

Why? Brings back the memories of rainy days – and subsequently indoor recess. Being a lazy kid I much preferred not being active outside but being inside playing boardgames… especially with girls I was shy around but had crushes on.

7. Risk.

Why? Super competitive. Makes people angry. Kind of reminds you of U.S. Imperialism in a sense. Sigh.

8. Clue.

Why? It makes you think. Putting together lots of possible combinations to come up with an end result is rewarding. Coming close, in a sense, is rewarding too (for your brain).
