Flashback: Senior Year, Winter Formal & Prom

So in my Senior year of high school, Chris Pham & Brian Nguyen felt the necessity in their hearts to nominate for Winter Formal. Before that point, I refused to go to high school dances deeming as “conformity”. Although it was flattering to get nominated, so OF COURSE I decided to attend, and subsequently my self esteem was boosted up a few points (not much).

So, the week before the dance, I had to participate in several lunchtime activities. Of course, and this is going to be quite obvious, I lost at ALL of them. Failure, baha. But to be fair, the other people did cheat! I go to compete with Earth too, which was quite fun.

And then, the dance came… I didn’t technically have a date. How sad is that?! But, I got to dancing. Before the dance, I was playing poker with George and Thiep @ Brian’s House.

And then… we went to the dance and took some pictures outside the place.

Thiep, Brian, me, Jonny, Howard, George, Tuan. [Some random Mexican guy joined the background].

Couple # 1

Random picture. Tony REALLY sticks out here. AHAHA.

Okay, so I won. But there was a dilemma. Winner has to dance with someone and then take a picture with someone for the yearbook. I danced with Theresa! And took a picture with Tran. Problem solved…

White boys.

Tony Vu Tran, Defender of the Horde?

Tanya Tran!

Julie Mai!

Nhi Nguyen, before she was my best friend! (cause she didn’t like talking to me on AIM 🙁

The other John Tran!

Christian Garcia!

I always look at this picture and go wtf. Why is Jonny so low?!?!?!?! perhaps foreshadowing of the events to come that night?

Erica Carillo!

Eden Mai!

Sonny Hoang!

Mally Vu!

Awkward picture for the win! LOL

And then after the dance, we all went to Denny’s. and that was fun& memorable. In essence, it was a very good night, and helped my improve my Senior Year substantially.

Of course, I went to Prom immediately after, conforming, with my ex…. It was quite a dramatic night. She got mad that I came late, although the location of the place was VERY obscure… and by the end of the night I lost my camera, and thus forth a long list of pictures (that I probably wouldn’t have looked at otherwise).

And that is all for now!
