Being that Dennis Kucinich was mocked just as much as Ron Paul in the 2008 Presidential Election, it’s time to recognize why the mainstream media treats him this way. He may be wrong on many critical issues, but he’s also just as right on many more. Let’s examine:

1. He would actually end all the wars. Just like Ron Paul, he recognizes what U.S. foreign policy has created – with all the countries we are currently in, our national security is more hurt than helped (by the amount of resistance and terrorism that props us as a result of our meddling in the affairs of others). See video below for details:

2. Repeal of the Patriot Act. Kucinich recognizes the repugnant erosion of our civil liberties that have developed with the war on terror. He would repeal the Patriot Act, end the NDAA, and restore the civil liberties of all Americans. (He would also close Guatanamo Bay).

3. Ending the War on Drugs. Morality cannot be regulated by the government. The War on Drugs, like Prohibition is both costly and ineffective at reducing overall drug use. Delegating it back to the states and decriminalizing drugs will reduce the power of the drug lords, and will help to fix present economic issues.

4. Recognizes Corporatism as the Evil. With corporations in bed with the government (and not using protection), the cycle of benefits the corporations get, and the amount of power of government retains stays in present effect. Subsequently, it is necessary to end this mutually evil relationship.

5. Ending the Federal Reserve. Kucinich understands the Federal Reserve as the root of the problem in American politics. He says: “The Fed creates money out of nothing, gives it to banks, banks keep it on deposit, gain interest, pay high bonuses — fat city — while the rest of America falls apart. The Fed creates money out of nothing for the banks. Meanwhile, the rest of us have to be stuck in a debt-based economic system? I don’t think so.”

Those 5 issues alone are enough to want me to vote for him. And though he’s not a fiscal conservative by any means, I’d vote for him over Obama, and nearly every other Republican who says one thing and does another.

  1. fashoo.. i love the guy! don’t get me wrong, i didn’t like a lotta his ideas, but he wasn’t a sellout like most doosh politicians and was quite courageous in speaking against the bullshit wars(overseas, drugs). He even attacked the bailouts! pretty awesome considering how liberal he is, and he didn’t fall for the bullshit! if you look up the lady who beat him, she’s not so great..a war mongerer and aipac puppet. This country is screwed

  2. I really think that is all those two have in common, and once it comes down to the every day ruling of a country, that is where they will disagree. It would make for a really terrible cabinet in my opinion.
