In the Vietnamese zodiac, a cat replaces a rabbit. A cat’s main trait is elegance and being diplomatic in approaching things.
In a lot of ways, a cat would be good at playing politics and navigating potential political minefields.
Case in point: went to an ethnics studies training for my district. Whereas many conservatives would claim ethnic studies is “indoctrination” of the youth, I’d like to think of it as teaching multiple perspectives. Trust me that teachers have no real power over indoctrinating youth – especially the ones that don’t bring pencils to class, or the very many who simply don’t care about history and would much rather watch TikTok on their phones.
In the end I present information as neutrally as I can, much like a cat, so much so that students don’t really know my politics at the end of the day.
