An unforgivable hate crime occurred on Christmas Eve of this year – December 24th, 2023.
After backwards parking like a pro to impress my wonderful wife, we headed inside for a delicious sweet treat in the form of Da Vien Coffee. When we got back to the car, Katherine noticed that there was a mysterious object underneath the rear of the car. I picked it up, and it was my license plate.
I immediately ran to the front of the car, where I noticed the front of the license plate had been completely torn off. Needless to say, I was mortified that such an Asian hate crime would happen on Christmas Eve of all holidays.
This is the second time that an “accident” has happened in a Korean plaza. The first time was when a gangster put a paint bucket in the middle of the parking lot, causing me to run over and unintentionally fill my wheels with paint. Now, on Christmas Eve, some juvenile deliquent probably rammed into the car causing the license plate to fly off – and they drove away like a coward. I’m starting to think these toxic Korean men had something to do with this, but I have nothing to confirm my suspicions.
Lesson learned: I will never backwards park again, as alpha of a move as that was.
I’m disappointed that such a heinous act would happen on this day of all days, but here’s hoping that karma will destroy the life of whoever did this. Karma is a cat.
