It’s teacher appreciation week in the United States, and I’d like to take the time this week to honor some of my favorite teachers I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.
First up is my lunch crew from the 2021-2022 school year, who unfortunately are not on the same lunch as me this year, leaving me stranded with another set of teachers.
That being said, I am proud to have had the pleasure of working with my 3 first friends made at Dale (after that traitorous Mr. Le left last year).
Ms. Manalo is one of the kindest teachers I have ever met, and always upbeat with a positive attitude no matter what her students do (juicy juicy!). She’s still very much a fresh teacher eager to try new things, and has not yet been jaded by the educational system. Idealistic and dedicated, she is a force to be reckoned with.
Mr. Morello is a fantastic teacher with excellent classroom management strategies. Students know not to mess around in his class. His level of efficiency is highly desired. Though oxymoronic, he is also one of the kindest jocks I have ever met, and one of the greatest coaches Dale will sadly lose.
Finally, Ms. Esquivel is a wonderful teacher dedicated to her teaching. Her no-nonsense strategies made her an excellent candidate to lead an English department mostly comprised of veteran teachers inferior to her. Her excellent abilities in communicating to parents and students, intertwined with her ability to freshly build up a Puente program from scratch makes her an excellent asset to whatever school she ends up in the future.
Though I am saddened to not be working with any of these teachers in the future, it’s been a pleasure working in their shadows this year. I know bright futures are ahead of all three of them wherever they go. Happy teacher appreciation week to the best of the best here at Dale.
