As one of the Union Reps of my school, I am supposed to attend Union meetings and report back to teachers updates district updates. Even though teacher unions can sometimes have a bad reputation for protecting “bad teachers”, I do think it is super important that teachers have worker protections that prevent them from being over-worked or abused. I will always be the biggest advocate for all teachers wherever I go, whether I stay at Dale or go elsewhere in the future.
Our next goal will be to try to keep class sizes low. Fingers crossed!
