In 2011, Bill Clinton, our former President, came to UCSD for the Clinton Global Initiative, a mini-conference where everybody proposed ideas on how to help their local and global communities from all over the world. I never fullfilled my initiative to this date, but maybe perhaps in the future when I retire… even though I was technically “supposed” to do it within a 5 year timeframe.
No matter what your politics, liberal, conservative, or anywhere in between, presidents all have had a profound effect on the history of the world. That’s why I was quite happy to get the opportunity to shake Bill Clinton’s hand that day.
