Contrary to what people might think upon seeing the title of this post, there were no bladder problems in the Tran household today. Instead, the toilet happened to stop working (it does not flush). Weird.
Anyway, my friend from Santa Barbara visited last night, so we ended up exploring various parts of Los Angeles today, which of course included:
- A quick stop at McDonald’s for breakfast (where I did some schoolwork for my Master’s Program)
- A tour of Rise Kohyang Middle School, which took a brief 10 minutes, followed by lunch
- The decision to visit Skid Row. We realized it was slightly too dangerous and left.
- A volleyball meetup where we mostly just observed people’s techniques playing Volleyball
5. Watching the movie Silence, which was kind of too slow for my personal taste. It had a good moral though to kind of live and die for your convictions. Meh
6. We were going to end the night with a Toastmasters meeting, but upon observing the age group of the crowd we decide to leave instead.
7. Indian food. The place ended up being vegetarian, which was disappointing since I couldn’t get my Chicken Tikki Masala. Oh Well, next time.
I’m back in Garden Grove now where there is proper plumbing easily at my disposal for the next 24 hours.
