Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream and a vision for our country that coincided with better overall race relations. In honoring the spirit of Dr. King, I volunteered with 6 teachers and 27 students helping to renovate West Hollywood Elementary school.
We got t-shirts. We did manual labor. I mostly “supervised”, which was fun.
Lots of unhappy children doing work.
At the end of the day, I’m happy to have given my students an opportunity to start changing the world for the better.
Because I obviously haven’t.
