It is now a new year (2016), which signifies a new project. The music project was fun and all, but having to blog everyday resulted in more than a few FILLER posts that mostly just wasted the reader’s time. I will attempt to eradicate that with more meaningful posts this year and focusing on quality over quantity.
That is why I introduce Project Equilibrium. This project is meant to seek a balance in all areas of my life in physical, mental, spiritual, and social ways. There are a couple of different ways I plan to achieve these ends, but I will review this in time.

Today’s post is the first such attempt at striking such balance. As of 2015, I have had 5 reviews on Yelp – 3 positive, and 2 negative. In deciding which places to review, I either really loved them and decided to post well DESERVED 5 star reviews, or really hated them and decided to post equally well DESERVED 1 star reviews. Here are the following reviews.
I love Phil’s BBQ, so that was easy.

I grew up loving Jack in the box, so that was easy.

At Chaba Thai, in San Diego, I encountered wonderful customer service that I felt the necessity in my soul to post a raving review.

When visiting Oregon, I absolutely DESPISED Hood River Cinema and so I was forced to post a terrible review.

K1 Speed did not allow me to race my nieces and nephews, and subsequently warranted an equally terrible review.

Today, I have added two reviews to Yelp to try to create more of a “balance” in my reviews. The first is a 1 star review, which will allow my review average to remain a “3”. It is a review of an Italian restaurant (Bruno’s Italian Kitchen) I thought was highly overrated in my opinion.

Finally, I have reviewed today’s activities at Pechanga with a “3” star review.

After today, if I plan on including anymore 1 star reviews, I will post a subsequent 5 star review to create a balance. And if I did my math correctly, a “3” star review wouldn’t change the average either. If I post a “2” star review I will also post a “4” star review to equalize my balances back to 3. I’m hoping in the process I can create a much fairer Yelp account. Unlike most people, I don’t want to be one of those people that only complain on Yelp when something goes wrong, or create artificially heightened reviews that would only seek to give a restaurant more stars than they actually deserve.
This means of course, more Yelp reviews to come, in the future, which will surely be posted on this blog.
