With the ending of first semester of the 2023-2024 school year comes the kickoff of my winter break. I actually prefer my breaks starting right before Christmas, because it means I don’t have to immediately start after the new year.
In terms of break excitement, winter break is my second favorite break only to summer (only due to the sheer length). Spring break is always sadly much too short.
This whole year in general already felt like a “break” from teaching due to my new role in special education.
I am hopeful to catch up with friends and family members all through my break, look at some more delicious houses, and gain some weight before ultimately kicking off 2024 with yet another diet. End of the year reflections still to go.
Of course it all begins with some heavy food at the Hangar, as we ride our way into the holidays on a magical sleigh ride.
