Charmander is my favorite Pokémon, so much so that I got a tattoo of it.
When a student gave me a random charmander Pokémon card, I of course had to accept it.
I remember very fondly as a kid watching the episode of Charmander getting abandoned, and him demonstrating a tremendous amount of perseverance to end his struggles. In a lot of way that is quite resonating as I endured through the many struggles of my life.
Charmander is also the best starter for sure. I remember giving Pokémon to my groomsmen to match their personalities. Amul got Bulbasaur cause he is a vegan. Sam got Squirtle because he is calm like the ocean. And of course Phillip got Charmander because he is passionate about things in a fiery way.
I am hopeful more people will appreciate Charmander as one of, if not the greatest Pokémon, of all time.
