For the past few years, we’ve spent several hours of our weekend (usually on Sunday) meal prepping for the following week. This gives us some much needed practice in the kitchen, and allows us a chance to be domestic, albeit briefly.
This week’s meal included some pasta (Target meat sauce and sausages), as well as some chicken tikki masala (with self-added rice and carrots). The Target meat sauce ended up tasting a bit odd for me (not necessarily bad, just different), so I think we’ll stick to Prego meat sauce in the future.
We also have a rotating list of other meals we often make, including kim chi fried rice, quesadillas, korean bbq meat, and incorporation of Costco’s rotisserrie chicken into random dishes (for budget saving purposes).
Looking for meal prep recommendations in the future that can does not require extensive prep work. I imagine in the future we will need more recipes for when we have to cook both lunch and dinner for the week ourselves.
