For my future daughter-in-law’s first birthday, we battled the congested freeway towards Los Angeles to get to California Pizza company in Koreatown, Los Angeles. Ironically enough, this was said venue where I hosted an rkms holiday party many many years prior.
One of the traditions for many Koreans is to choose an object in front of them to designate their future career. Izzy appropriately chose doctor, being the Asian that she is.
I imagine for my future children I will place many objects including a Phil’s bbq bottle, designating of course that they will have a delicious future. Perhaps I’ll even cater Phil’s bbq in a future baby shower or birthday party in the future.
The baby still looks healthy so I imagine I will not have to call cps anytime soon on her parents. I’m grateful and hopeful for more exciting and enriching birthday parties in the future.
