Sriracha Shortage

There is currenetly a sriracha shortage in the United States. This is due to a shortage of chile peppers and some dispute between Huy Fong Foods and their former supplier. This has affected many of my favorite restaurants, including of course Pho restaurants.

Pho simply doesn’t taste the same without some sriracha. That being said, it is good that my family has stockpiled a few bottles of sriracha for these emergency situations. Hopefully it lasts well into the rest of the shortage.

Needless to say, this is one shortage that affects the Asian American community the most. More so than eggs or even toilet paper, sriracha is a staple of the Vietnamese American diet. And of course, I’m very selective and only like The Huy Fong Foods brand. Any other brand is inferior in my opinion.
