If Dale Junior high was a sorority, these two would definitely be the best of sisters. Somehow, upon meeting two years ago, they developed the best of bonds, and became the most productive 8th grade science teachers on campus.
They are dedicated to their craft, actually follow curriculum and use lesson plans, and teach their students meaningful content using the NGSS standards. I witnessed their brilliance at the TGR training where they helped develop the entire PBL project for the 8th grade science team. I’m glad that at the end of the day, despite all the bonds that will be dissolved by the end of the school year, these two will remain friends for life.
Ms. Wolf has a crazy sarcasm that can destroy ignorant people who don’t understand it and an equal love for Taylor Swift that is unparalleled to anyone else on campus. A true Swiftie in every sense of the world, her students were enchanted to meet her. Ms. Cervantes was a good morning buddy to vent to with frustrations on a daily basis, and I’ll miss checking into her room with the buzz around campus.
I truly believe we meet people for a reason, and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to teach in the same school as these two. I have no doubt that wherever they end up, their students will be lucky to have them. Dale Junior high will be losing two great science teachers this year.
