Lomo Saltado is a stir-fry dish made with beef, onions, tomatoes, and French fries, all seasoned with a special blend of spices and served over white rice. The dish is a fusion of Peruvian and Chinese cuisine, as it incorporates stir-frying techniques from Chinese cuisine with Peruvian ingredients and spices. The dish originated in the late 19th century in Peru, when Chinese immigrants arrived in the country and brought their culinary traditions with them. Over time, the dish evolved to incorporate local ingredients and flavors, becoming a true representation of Peruvian cuisine.

It’s interesting to mix different food tastes together in such a unique way. It’s a Chinese-Peruvian fusion dish. In a lot of ways it’s a unique combination, just like a John-Katherine fusion, Vietnamese-Italian-Persian: John of course being 99% Vietnamese and 100% American; Katherine being 75% Vietnamese, 22% Italian and 3% Persian. I hoep to try more exotic foods in the future. To be fair this food isn’t exactly exotic since I love french fries and rice. Carbs on carbs on Carbs.
