Honeymoon Blues

As my Disney Cruise draws to a close, so does my much-needed Spring Break. It’s always tough to return to reality after such a fantastic vacation, but I’m grateful for the opportunity to celebrate my honeymoon with my wife Katherine. Growing up, we didn’t have the chance to take vacations due to our lower socio-economic class, so this experience was truly special for us.

The Disney Cruise exceeded our expectations and was a significant improvement from our previous cruise experience with Carnival. The exceptional food, fantastic service, and enjoyable shows made for an unforgettable trip. However, I understand that a Disney cruise may not be for everyone. To enjoy it, one must have a fondness for all things Disney. Also, be prepared to be surrounded by children, some of whom may be a bit unruly. I believe that parents should take responsibility for their children’s behavior, and if necessary, take them aside and reprimand them. Personally if my kid was acting up I would immediately take them their room and suspend all fun activities for the rest of the day.

Despite the occasional challenges, our overall experience was positive. I especially enjoyed the Animator’s Palette, where I had the chance to draw, and Palo, my favorite restaurant on board. Katherine and I even wasted $120 gambling on Bingo, which we lost.

We loved the opportunity to take photos with Disney characters dressed up and listen to their classic songs during the musical productions. We’re already looking forward to a future cruise in 2024 or 2025, probably in Florida or Alaska. When we have children, we’ll be sure to bring them along, but only when they’re old enough to behave themselves and actually remember the experiences.

In conclusion, this vacation was a dream come true for us, and we hope that others will have the chance to experience the same joy and adventure in the future.
