It’s Day 1 of our magical vacation on the Disney Wonder. The boarding process was quite simple and gave us ample opportunity for a welcome photo and happy greetings from all the employees.

We had lunch at Tiana’s place where we both opted for kids meals. The most delicious part was mixing the two desserts together, Oreo cheesecake and a welcome abroad sundae. 7/10 stars.

Afterwards we explored the ship for a bit before going into our room to unpack our luggage. We had some delicious pizza to continue filling our stomach from Pinnochio’s pizza and brought pizza back to our cabin. Feeling inspired from lunch I watched The Princess and the Frog for the first time. 5/10 stars.

After a mandatory safety drill the boat sailed away with a sail-a-way party! Katherine was unimpressed so we left. We snuck in some photos with Ariel and Daisy Duck before going to the Golden Mickeys. It was a great performance of Disney songs including songs from Tangled, Lion King, and Toy Story – just to name a few. 10/10. Then we got photos with Mickey and Minnie.
The night‘s dinner was at Animators Palette where I was unimpressed by the pursettes, was surprised by the chicken walnut salad, and was thoroughly happy with the lemon thyme all natural chicken which Katherine actually ordered but switched with me at the last minute. Sucker. Dessert was great as usual with yet another combination of cheesecake and sundae. Not as good as lunch though. So many calories consumed today. 7/10 overall for the food. It was cool that we got to draw animations and they displayed them up on the screen for everyone to see though. 9/10 for the visuals/overall ambience.
We ended the night shopping and resting in our cabin, eager for more adventures in the days to come.
