One of my favorite jobs at UCSD happened to be at Environment, Health, and Safety, an office job where I usually sat around and did remedial office tasks such as scanning, printing, and going on facebook. Somewhat secretarial duties.
But one of the perks of this fabulous work study job was of course getting to drive electric carts around campus to make random deliveries. It was pretty fun. I certainly abused my privileges of course by driving some friends around campus, and even going home once to take a shower. Until one day, when my boss told me he received a complaint that I was driving on the “opposite side of the road”. I’m pretty sure I must have done this accidentally, but I was basically banned from driving the carts for about a month.
But then again, I got to drive the carts again after my boss had a brilliant idea for me to go wash the carts at the washing station. Needless to say it wasn’t that fun. I was pretty dumb though at the time, because I sprayed water and soat all over the seats, so by the time I had to drive the cart back, my pants became all wet. Gross.

In the end, it was a life-changing experience, and I continue to wash my cars in the same manner, with as little effort as possible.
Hahaha! Beat my first job in college working at the dining commons. Mopping and cleaning on a Friday night. Coming home smelling like the kitchen sink and everyone is ready to go out and party. Not to mention my second job working at the school gym and cleaning up puke in the bathrooms. I eventually upgraded to working the equipment desk.
