Day 188: Tami Holloway’s Anime Expo 2019

And thus ends my third year here at Anime Expo. Even though we were blessed with better weather this year, we had the unfortunate mess of having to deal with earthquakes and fires.

Even though I was with professional registration for half of my time, I was blessed to be able to work with wonderful people at South Hall under the leadership of two amazing captains – Tami and Elaine. Each had their own unique style. At times, it seemed like Tami knew more than me about what to do in certain situations being that she has been assistant manager for many more years. I was lucky to have her, and will always aspire to try to be as good as her one day. She’s a teacher and has taught me much since I have met her. Maybe we’ll go to Phil’s one day with her husband.

In the squads, I had the pleasure of working with such nice people, and even though they are weebs, they are cool weebs, and that’s all that matters in life.

In the end, it was a fun Anime Expo experience filled with many positive memories, many positive people, and many angry attendees. Here’s hoping LineCon 2020 will be equally as successful, enjoyable, and delicious.

RIP Don Chente 2019.
