Andrew Huynh is one of the biggest workaholics I know. Which explains of course why he would be so devoted into running so many half marathons. He was nice enough to provide me transportation to my first half marathon today, as we departed to Surf City (Huntington Beach). Andrew himself has done numerous half marathons, his favorite being the Disney Half Marathon because of the scenery that comes with it.
That being said, he gave pretty good advice – which included bandaging your nipples to prevent potential chaffing. Considering he does virtually no training before most of his half marathons, he ended up performing relatively well. Me on the other hand – I did okay, with stats included below:
I had the fortunate experience to also invite two lovely co-workers to run with me, one of which fate intervened whom I bumped into as he exited a bus right as I crossed it.
Andrew Huynh’s life is very much like a marathon itself, with him running all over the place volunteering for conventions, continuing his student teaching, and balancing the other unique aspects of his life. I am grateful for his friendship and knows he puts 200% into everything that is important to him.
Here’s hoping we can run another half marathon again soon!
