Today one of my good friends tied the knot in downtown Los Angeles. And though I try to avoid the city as often as possible due to congestion and my own issues with parking, I went ahead and made the sacrifice today in order to see him on the happiest day of his life.

Luckily for me, it was at a venue with valet parking included. There’s not much to say other than I’m happy Adam Radtke (now Adam Galvin) is happily married.

I’ve known Adam since college, and though we haven’t talked much since graduating, I cherish all the memories we made in the past. From playing Loaded Questions, going to Tzu Ching events, debating politics constantly, watching Glee, eating Phil’s (5 times to be exact), and of course going through back-to-back breakups and dealing with the drama that sufficed as a result, we have created a lifetime bond that will hopefully last forever.

I’m happy that he was able to beat me to marriage and secure the love of his life. I’m happy that she has made him a better person, and it’s super progressive of him to take her last name.

As we descend from college into the mundaneness that comes with adulthood, I hope our friendship can stand the tide of time, and I hope we will continue to make memories in the future.

To the now happily married Mr. and Mrs. Galvan – I wish you a life of eternal happiness on Planet Earth, and I hope that happiness becomes contagious, seeking to infect all those around you.

Goodbye forever, and good luck my wonderful white friend.
