Day 9: Top Blog Posts of 2017

I can only do this on years where I blog every single day, but here I will outline my most viewed blog posts of the year. Instead of doing it by month as I have done so in the past, I will do it by each 26-day period to see which posts were the best of each type.

Phase 1: For the first set of posts, I wrote about my daily adventures in a 365-day format for 26 days, my most viewed blog of that period being one about how difficult it is to meet people at a bar.

Phase 2: I then did the music project again for 26 days, my dad’s birthday under the guise of a yellowcard song being the most popular.

Phase 3: I attempted to cook for the next 26 days and outlined my cooking progress. I obviously chronicled how my peanut butter and jelly sandwich was terrible and was ultimately replaced by a pre-packaged frozen version that tasted much better.

Phase 4: I wrote poems for 26 days, one poem focused on how annoying a parent was when their child was restricted to going to America’s Got Talent.

Phase 5: I wrote about the 26 most important people in my life thus far, Nhi Nguyen (my former best friend) being the most clicked.

Phase 6: I paralleled my life with some of my favorite movies, writing about an Evening of Excellence where I won a lame award.

Phase 7: I paralleled my life with some of my favorite music albums, writing about the worst day of the year: Field Day 2017.

Phase 8: I wrote about the different cities I traveled to. Even though I went all over Europe, Santa Ana, which I nickname Stabba Ana, was the most popular.

Phase 9: I compared my life to some of the best short stories, The Gift of the Magi being matched to my sister’s pre-wedding party.

Phase 10: I wrote about every single year of my life to the present, 1999 being the most tragic of years where I got beat up by Mexicans.

Phase 11: I wrote about all the teachers that have made an impact on my life, Mr. Ngo being the most popular. He probably has a lot of Filipinos fans all over the world.

Phase 12: I wrote things from the perspective of various objects in the world, the most viewed perspective from that of a wedding dress on the day of my sister’s wedding.

Phase 13: I had different people guest blog posts for me, Eugene Hahn’s post about RKMS teachers being the most popular.

Phase 14: The last blog posts of the year have been not defined by any central theme, but rather a cluster of anything I really want it to blog about, giving myself pure creative freedom yet again. And yet, even though I try to avoid talking about politics, my post on the GOP Tax Plan had the most hits.

And yet, even though these were my most viewed blog posts, these were not my favorite, which I will outline in detail tomorrow.
