With the year winding down, it is now necessary to start reflecting on the events of 2017.
First though, let’s examine the music that allowed me to survive the highs and lows of the time period. Luckily for me, Spotify has helped to curate my top played songs of the year, as listed below:
Even though I’m pretty old (27), my music taste is still very much teenage-popish. I very much believe the music you listen to as you get older is indicative of what you enjoyed when you were young, which is why I never have much rap in my music collection.
Jon Bellion was the top artist of the year, which is pretty fitting since I saw him live twice (once on tour with 21 Pilots and secondly as the headliner).
Because Taylor Swift’s new album wasn’t on spotify initially, these stats are a little disjointed. I Imagine “Look What You Made Me Do” would be replaced by “New Year’s Day” if this was to be more accurate.
28,668 minutes! That’s about 19 days worth of music listening. I really truly only listen to Spotify in the car, but hopefully that will change next year as I continue my premium subscription.
