Day 23: My Least Favorite Human

Jessica Luna is a former student from Rise Kohyang Middle School.

On Friday, November 3rd we hosted a birthday party for our amazing and most hated teacher, mr. Tran 😂 we were all trying to host a surprise birthday party for him, but happens to be that he already knew about it…anyways it was still a ton of fun, having a food fight and being surrounded by so many people I care about like my bestfriends, evelyn, Angela, Aramis, Martin, Alan, and most importantly mr. Tran.

Some of you may not see your teachers as special or someone important in your life, but mr. Tran is different. From the day I first met him in 6th grade technology, I knew he’d be one of my favorite teachers. He would make us write blogs everyday and they were so much fun because I got to speak about everything, all in one small website like the one you’re reading this blog on. I now understand why he made us write blogs though, he himself is an amazing writer, writing all these blogs about his daily life. Anyways, back to what I was saying. When I first met Mr. Tran, I thought he was kind of loud and strict, but I would always have fun in his class, especially with Eileen and Ian. He would always show us goosebumps at the end of class and just made our days the best. He was always there for all of us, making sure we did our digital portfolios and that our grades were the highest. I remember how he would always get upset when I had an A instead of an A+ so that pushed me to get straight A+’s and I ended up conquering that goal at the end of the year. However, 7th grade we didn’t talk much. I wouldn’t stay after school so we didn’t talk much. He was still kind because I was very talkative in history and he would never get mad at me. He was always patient and never yelled at me. He would only bother me with ships last year and made it super obvious on who I used to like, geez can’t keep a secret sometimes 😂 especially in builder’s club events, that’s all he would talk about. Fernando this, fernando that, but luckily I don’t like him anymore haha. Anyways, another of the highlights from 7th grade was the end of the year field trip when mr. Tran was being crazy when we would hike and just being hilarious in general. I was looking forward to Mr. Tran teaching us in 8th grade since he had taught me for 2 years in a row. However, he stayed teaching 7th grade history. It’s okay though because we still talk a lot since I stay afterschool a lot, mostly to help out with student news since according to him I’m the host of the show 😂 And we also created a ton of memories as a result of that. For example, when he bought Aramis, martin, me, and others pizzarev and we had so much fun. It was full of laughter and joking around, calling everyone losers and just being evil, but not seriously. Or when we were helping him write letters and he had nothing to say for some students so we just made up a simple letter 😂 then I told tran that writing 100 something letters is an easy task and he told me to write him a letter with a huge amount of pages, which I’m working on haha. Sometimes he’s just crazy like that. Having to defeat the eye of te fiti, driving in circles out of the parking lot, playing loud music/singing along to it/blasting the Pokémon theme song with all the windows open. That’s what makes him so unique, so special, and so loved by many students. Thank you for giving me a second dad that one time you accidentally confused a random man in yogurtland for my dad 😂

But I don’t wanna make this blog very cheesy, so thank you mr For always shipping me with many, but finally just one person this time. Thank you for making sure I’m alright and talking to me whenever I’m not. Thank you for always making my days with your craziness that always make me laugh or simply by buying food, that makes my days too so you can buy food whenever yay! Jk jk hahah. Thank you for keeping secrets and trusting me with some of yours such as how you have an amazing blog with tons of adventures. Just in general thank you for everything, for teaching us, being there for us, and most importantly for always being yourself 😀 thank you for everything, sincerely, Your favorite student, Jessica also known as one third of the short trio 🙂
