Day 2: 1992 – 1993

With this post being dedicated to ’92 and ’93 respectively, I have to say my memory is just as bad of my recollections of those years as well.

That being said…

With no recollection of what Vietnam physically looks like from verbal memory, it’s important to look at stock images on the Internet to jog my memory.

ABSOLUTELY.

That looks 100% accurate to my recollection.

In all honesty, I don’t remember anything.

HOWEVER, we did emigrate to America in October 1993. By Plane. Which means we’re considered “FOPS”, not “FOBS”. We are most certainly not boat people.

We landed at no other than the worst airport in the world, LAX (pictured below):

With us now in the United States, it was now up to my parents to attempt to achieve the “American dream”. We will examine in the next few posts how successful they ultimately were in doing so.

Top movie in 1992? Aladdin. Ironically, my favorite “old-school” Disney movie. What hopeless romance it embedded into me as a human being.

Top movie in 1993? Jurassic Park. Decent. I suppose.

Top song of ’92? I will Always Love You. I suppose that’s a great homage to my parents.

Top song of ’93? I’d Do Anything for Love. ZZZZZZ
