Day 16: San Gimignano

13 days into my travels, and I am more tired than ever. At the same point, it should be noted that my endurance level for walking long distances has persevered to the point where my feet don’t necessarily get tired anymore.

Anyway, it was rather rough waking up this morning, but I did so in order to be able to trek up the 463 steps of the Duomo, which proved itself a mental physical challenge. It wasn’t too bad though, and the view at the top was semi-pleasant, except for the metal fence that blocked my view and preventing anyone from committing Hannah Baker. 3 Stars.

Later, we went to the city of San Gimignano for some brief exploration. While there, I had supposedly the best Gelato in the world. It was pretty damn good. 5 Stars.

And then, we had lunch, which was fine. I had Italian Lasagna. 3 Stars. We went exploring the countryside a little bit more, getting more souvenirs, and other trinkets, including wine bottles I will bring back to the states for everyone to share.

Later that evening, after catching up on Game of Thrones, I went upstairs to the third floor to enjoy the view of the Duamo’s Dome from the third floor while sipping on some much needed wine.

And then, I had the best meal thus far on the trip in the form of Italian pizza. 4 stars for the win.

One day more to revolution, we will nip it in the bud. Our last day will be in Milan tomorrow!
