Our adventures continue in the Netherlands today with a visit to three unique cities.
Using the coach, we moved from place to place.
1. We went to the beach in Den Haag, where we did many things, which included walking around the pier, using the restrooms (50 cent euros each), and getting ice cream. The ice cream was to die for. 4 Stars.
The actual sand itself was also super soft, reminiscent of San Diego beaches. At the same time, it was nice that they had little cabanas and everything already set up for you to rent. That would probably never happen in America with too many people that would try to steal stuff if it was set up. Sigh. 4 Stars.
Of course the ultimate American stereotype was visualized in a statue of a bubbling idiot hot dog. Sounds about right. Make America Great Again, I suppose. 4 Stars.

2. We went to Rotterdam, a very modernized city, quite different from Amsterdam and filled with way less tourists. We went to the Markthal Rotterdam which was filled with shops (which included pho), where we got drinks, more ice cream, Dutch fries, and explored our way around the local community. It was quite a laid back atmosphere. 3 Stars.
We also saw the cube houses, which were super cool, and kind of reminded me of one of the houses at UCSD, but better. I wouldn’t mind living in a house as such, especially during an earthquake. 4 Stars.
3. We went to our new hotel (Movenpick), which was super nice again. We explored the local city nearby (Voorburg), where shops were closed super early unfortunately. We had Italian dinner again, where I consumed Pizza this time. So unfortunate things are closed early, but I guess it’s a much slower paced environment here in Europe. 3 Stars.

4. I blogged from my bathtub, taking my first bath in years. I know you probably wouldn’t want to see pictures, but I subsequently made a mess all over the floor, flooding water everywhere. It was like Noah’s ark all over again. 4 Stars.
