Today was the first time I have ever gotten pulled over in my life. And it was quite scary.
After a day of boba, Ice Cream, a long trip to Phil’s BBQ (including with a friend from San Jose who I haven’t seen in a while, some laser tag, and a trip back – I got pulled over by a cop.

Here is how the exchange went down after I got pulled over exiting the Brookhurst exit of the California 22 Freeway.
Officer: Do you know how fast you were going?
Me: I think I was going 70.
Officer: NO! YOU SIR WERE GOING OVER 80. I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING YOU SINCE HARBOR.
Me: Oh. I didn’t know….
Officer: Why were you going so fast? WHY!?
Me: Umm….. I guess I wasn’t paying attention, sorry.
Officer: GIVE ME YOUR LICENSE.
What a scary exchange. It certainly was exactly like how you would picture it in the movies. I didn’t think I was actually going that fast, but I was probably just not paying attention to my odometer at present moment. I’m sure it’s because my friends were distracting me. I definitely wasn’t going as fast as one of my favorites Back to the Future, but that’s another story.
Anyway, I’m sure after the cop examined my criminal record, he handed me back the license and said “Slow down.”
What a nice cop. If he gave me a ticket, I’d be calling him a pig. Thanks. For. Nothing.
