Day 17: Fiorella, Michele, Audrey, & Mileth

In the 9 months that I was living in Las Vegas, I dealt with perpetual loneliness, especially in the midst of a rather tragic breakup (and then car accident). Needless to say, it was a rather depressing moment in my life, and I never would have made it out of there with my spirits so high without the help of four wonderful women who I could forever wish to maintain contact with for the rest of my life.

Thanks to Meetup, I was able to go to a random parade with Fiorella and Michele, where somehow our immediate breakups with our significant others guided our friendships together. Suffering together, we eventually bonded over Pho, among other foods. It was through Fio that I would also meet Audrey at an Italian dinner, and then Mileth at the Color Run. From that point on, our group solidified. Each of these wonderful ladies have amazing qualities, and I always ask myself why in the world none of them are married.

The answer is quite simply actually.

One day, the best of all princes is going to come sweep them all away.

Anyway, this would provide itself as the best opportunity to thank them all for all their unique qualities.

Fiorella, thank you for being such an opening individual. You wear your heart on your sleeves, but for you, it is a good thing. It reveals quite easily to me how much of a heart you have, and how much love you have to give to the people around you. I thank you for putting up with me and allowing ourselves to bond over random activities such as watching Furious 7, or of course some delicious brunch. Though you’re in Portland now and even farther away than before, I hope to someday make the trek to visit you.

Michele, you are also quite a heartwarming individual, and you respond well to all my snide and inappropriate humor. Mormon or not, you are the most caring individual I have seemingly ever met, and I know you care about your clients so much based on the profession you have chosen for yourself (social work). Your demeanor helps explain why you have the friends that you do, and why you have maintained contact in the way that you have.

Audrey, you are simply the best, and such a hard-working pharmacist. What would have taken me an hour to complete (a bookshelf), you probably could do in about 10 minutes. Somehow you are able to maintain a full-time job while also doing coursework on the side.  You have so many different unseen talents (including of course cooking for us), and I know those kind of talents allow you to maintain such an independent aura of authenticity. I know you are a caring individual because you take care of your parents and maintain close relationships with them. That caring persona will carry you farther into life and will ultimately make the world a better place.

Finally, Mileth – even though I met you last, you are just as funny and chill as the others. And we had quite entertaining times together, including Michele and Audrey’s birthday dinners, as well as watching Pitch Perfect together. You are just as important as the others for your company, warm smiles, and incredible dance skills (I definitely would not be able to do what you do).

Thanks for the dinner activities, which included Catan (which I won), playing at Gameworks before I left, an a short reunion in Vegas when I visited. I’ll make sure to make time for each and every one of you if I ever visit Vegas again (which is likely, since so many people want to go there all the time). As for Oregon, the weather’s nice there so I’ll be sure to visit there as well.

Thanks for the company. I will never forget the experiences we had. #26reasonswhy
