By far the best boss I have ever had, and ever will have, is Karen Saturday. She’s funny, heartwarming, and generally patient with her staff (for the most part). Unfortunately for me, she’s married.
I actually grew quite a bit, due to your decision to hire me at Fairmont Summer Programs. The first summer was kind of awkward, cause I didn’t really like the co-workers all too much (other than Ana).
I got much more comfortable the second summer though and showed more of my cynical, sarcastic personality, and you entrusted me enough to become the “Science Guy” for the summer.
The third summer was equally as comfortable as I pretty much got to do whatever I wanted. Summer was very comfortable with me for the most part because I had great co-workers, great supervisors, and generally very great children. I never got in trouble once either.
The fourth summer was also good, and with the Pokemon Go craze going on, you had the genius idea to of course play real-life Pokemon Go, my all time favorite activity. I also started managing the kids differently with a more mean demeanor, which helped transfer over to how I currently mistreat my middle school students.
I realized despite being the best boss I will ever have, we have never taken a picture, and so I have put it upon myself to create an image of us together on the summer grass.
Though I won’t be there this summer, I hope to come back in subsequent summers, and I’ll carry a piece of you wherever I go solidly in my heart. Thank you for continuing to inspire me and others to do their best. #26reasonswhy
