Yesterday was quite an interesting experience to say the least. It was nice seeing performances from random 90’s artists like Ja Rule/Ashanti and of course R Kelly.
To be completely honest, the festival itself (Soulquarius) was kind of a train wreck. It was rather mesmerizing how bad it was, actually.
- The lines were too ridiculously long.
- Unless you were in the VIP section, it was impossible to see anything from that far away (especially if you’re short).
- It was hard to get from one stage to the next.
- Performances were late. Nobody knew who was performing next. Nothing was updated.
- I’ll probably call Ticketstoday tomorrow to see how much of a refund I can get.
- All the reviews on the Facebook Event Page are negative, because I’m sure everybody shares the same sentiments I do.
One pro of course was how good the After’s Ice Cream tasted in the middle of the night. That’s one plus.
I liked Ja Rule and Ashanti the best, but I wish I could have seen the other performances! Errykah Baddhu nearly put me to sleep and R Kelly was a little extreme for my taste. Oh well.
