Today, a bomb threat made from overseas caused the LA Unified School District to shut down all of its schools. Rise Kohyang, being a charter school under mandates from the district, followed suit. Even if everything turns out to be a hoax, it really creates a tear in my heart that something like this had to happen. Sadly, I don’t know if American foreign policy is going to change for the better, and if terrorist threats are going to diminish over the upcoming months…..but more on that later.
Abusing my free time, I took a nap, watched some YouTube videos, and then ate some delicious Korean BBQ with a friend. The best way to celebrate your freedom is to not be afraid. I certainly wasn’t.
When I went home, I watched the Republican debate, only to be DISAPPOINTED once more. I curse the government every time they do something wrong, and using money ON MILITARY SPENDING OVERSEAS is terrible. The war in Iraq and US intervention in the middle east has created “terrorism”. Bombing the middle east and killing civilian casualties only increases blowback and increases the ability of terror organizations like ISIS to recruit new members. Only Rand Paul and sometimes Donald Trump (although he has his own flaws) somehow exposed a DIFFERENT foreign policy than the one we have done that has gotten us into this hot mess.
