Another day. Another Scholar’s Assembly. Another chance to showcase to the top students their hard work! Another long walk to the park.

Today, in a new room, I tried my best to fix the problems of several students to ensure they are successful in the future. It also entailed fixing the lack of motivation students had in completing Reading Counts. The only thing I could do was try to motivate them by uploading various different novels online for them to easily access at home. Most of them were grateful, but we will see if it will translate into actual homeroom success. In “fixing the students”, it mostly amounted to fixing their computer problems, but I’m glad to say I was of some use. Lights guided me home back to Magnolia Ave and the dark glimmering streets of USC.
And high up above or down below
When you’re too in love to let it go
But if you never try you’ll never know
Just what you’re worthLights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
