Day 291: Landslide

In visiting an untapped portion of the United States this weekend, I have decided to dedicate this week to our country – and namely COUNTRY music.

The landslide I call life is great, as I continue to change and get older. Building my life around my own individual concept of meaning has given me the opportunity to better appreciate my friends and family.

And so, with the exploration of San Francisco on day #2, we visited a couple of hot pocket destinations (not to be confused with the frozen food).

#1 Stanford University. My love = my parents !

I took my love and I took it down.

#2 The World’s most Crooked Street (Lombard), which gave my parents a sweat walking up.

I climbed a mountain and I turned around.

#3 The Golden Gate Bridge ! I see my reflection everyday in my parents.

And I saw my reflection in the snow-covered hills.

#4 Fisherman’s Wharf, where we got onto a cruise to go under the Golden Gate Bridge & around the former prison of Alcatraz.

Till the landslide brought me down.

#5 San Francisco Bay (Cruise).

Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?

#6: Palace of Fine Arts, a beautiful masterpiece ! It’s hard for a kid like me to rise above towers so big.

Can the child within my heart rise above?

#7: Seal Rocks State Beach: I hope my tides of my life continue to push me towards success.

IMG_1937

Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?

#8: Saint Mary’s Cathedral: I appreciate the role religion brings in providing hope to people in all seasons of life.

Can I handle the seasons of my life?

#9: City Hall, which remains unchanged after 100 years!

Well, I’ve been afraid of changing.

#10: The top of San Francisco: Thank you Mom and Dad for providing me a life I wouldn’t otherwise have had.

‘Cause I’ve built my life around you.

Well, I’ve been afraid of changing
‘Cause I’ve built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I’m getting older too
