What a wonderful last day of Fall Quarter it has been! My students finished decorating my door after I hurriedly kicked them out as the bell rang at 1PM. “Transylvania” for hotel Transylvania. Get it?!
I spent some quality time with three couples important to my life today.
Firstly, a nice little Facetime session with my newly engaged sister and her man! Congratulations 🙂
Secondly, a nice little Red Robin dinner with my pregnant sister and her man! Due Date: January!
And finally, a nice little trip to Seaside with my niece and her man!
There’s so much ahead, and so much regret. Being around couples always reminds me of what I don’t have. Being mindful of the past, so many people built me up just to watch me break, and I need to protect myself from being killed emotionally in the same way again in the future. At the same time, I’m not willing to settle down completely yet so I’ll appreciate the free time I have to enjoy with friends and family. I’ll value the hard work my parents put into raising me by rewarding them this weekend with a trip to San Francisco!
